The family was very kind, caring and helpful. We enjoyed a lovely home cooked breakfast. It was very touching that on leaving they offered us fruit from their garden. We really felt like home. "Countless things I like. Room is clean and bright. Location is quiet with kind locals nearby. Just walk and reach Monasteries by hiking (if you like hiking). Delicious dinner prepared by host family with their home grown veggie, grape wine….Most importantly, the family are very kind, sweet and helpful who concern about you. They help me with transport to visit some places, talk to shared driver in ?Russian ?/ Armenian (I can’t tell because I don’t understand both languages). Definitely I love to stay much longer. Grand parents are nice, parents are kind, two pretty daughters are so sweet. What else do I need more 🥰❤️"

"I traveled alone but the size of the room was enough for two people. Brand new room, bathroom and extra large kitchen if you want to cook your self. But there is no need since the owner Arpine is a great cook. You have fresh produce for breakfast and you can ask for lunch or dinner to be cooked for you. You can pickup your own herbs and fruit from their extra large garden."

"The most lovely welcome, with a home made spread of jams and cake, and (had i seen it in time) the offer of picking me up from where I landed. Emer, the host, and his wife Arpine could not have done more to make me feel at home. The rooms (only 2 at present) are brand new, with crisp linen and soft towels. I arrived in December, and the electric radiator was on. Plenty of hot water too (there are solar panels on the roof). Breakfast was plentiful - fresh fruit, eggs (they have their own chickens), various home made jams and preserves, cheese, tea and Nesscafe. I loved meeting the family and felt very much at home. Emer speaks excellent Russian. He has organised a tour of remote monasteries (requiring a 4-wheel drive) with an outstanding guide - Norik, who I could not recommend enough. I sincerely hope I will be able to return and stay at Sun House again as there is much to explore and see."

"The bathroom is a bit small, though well appointed. Sun House is 2 km from the highway. The walk into town is c 15 min (return is uphill). No restaurants nearby."
