"What a great surprise this find is, staying with a local community and eating the traditional food ,only 25mins walk to a private beach and 10min walk to the ash fields . Here the rumble of the mountain like its a distant thunder storm. The kids will show you around with great enthusiasm. And all being close to the volcano and hot springs and the hosts will arrange any other activities and transports needed , This is the real deal don't miss out . "On arrival 'Grandad' greeted us with a smile and a cup of 'ginger tea' 😊 The location is peaceful and on the edge of the forest. Only 15mins walking to seven eleven, shops, etc. The room was comfy and clean. Good value too. Bed was super comfy soft to firm! Easy to safely store our bicycles 🚴🚴 A great place to visit and Grandad may also show you around his collection of antiques. HIGHLY recommended 👌"

Missed an on-site restaurant and had to drive almost six kms away for decent breakfast. The Wifi could be better. The approach road is accessible only by a off roader 4x4.

"Nice room with en-suite bathroom and kitchenette connected to main house but separate entrance. Good option if you want to surf Playa Colorados - 15 min walk or less by bicycle. The host Eric is friendly and hospitable."

There was no local stores near by, it can look a little remote especially at night.

"My sister & I stayed 4 nights here! 😍 We loved that… it was great value for money,… there’s a shop downstairs that opened 7 days till late… The location was awesome, right next to DMC, Vailoa, (the best fried chicken franchise on the island 😋)… the twin room was clean, and spacious with 2 x twin beds, sofa lounge, a balcony with clothes airer, a wardrobe, massive shower with hot water, toiletries & towels, kitchen sink with utilities, Tea/Coffee facilities, Aircon & free WiFi…and… The host, (Teresa), was very friendly & welcoming, always willing & present to help out when needed. 😃"

The only issue, was the accommodation is upstairs and carrying heavy luggage upstairs was a little challenging, otherwise, it was excellent value for money. 👍

"The accommodation was in the flat, which was on the first Floor. It was a private room with AC and TV. You could cook in the kitchen. McDonald's was a one-minute walk away. The public beach is 5 minutes by car. Qidfa beach. The beach is very clean. The landlord is a very friendly and nice person. The flat had no small kids, and it was very calm. Close to Fujairah and Khor Fakkan. You would stay here 1 or more nights."

"We liked everything! This can not be described by words. One must come and see the exceptionally beautiful nature of Mariovo, this village Zovich and the nearby village Staravina. The accomodation offered everything we needed, the host Mitko, his wife and mother were very friendly and helpful, they make extraordinary food in their restaurant, all fresh and of high quality. We will be back again!"

"The garden is amazing! We stayed there in early October and the trees’ colors were stunning. Huge congrats to the gardeners! Also the breakfast was great with many tasty local products."

The houses are well equiped and designed, however in some cases design is over function f.ex.: living room area cannot be fully covered by blackout curtain and throught the non-covered part people can exactly see the ones stepping out from the bathroom. Light and odor extraction system is automatically switches on, even in the night and also when you pass by the toilet (no need to step in). There is no towel rack in the bathroom, no bedside table next to the bed. TV is literally cannot be used in the bedroom as there is only HDMI possibility or Austrian tv channels, not even Hungarian ones (DUNA Tv and M2 only). Netflix can be used only in the living room. There are too many small, but even more annoying, minor flaws, which is a real shame because the place itself is beautiful.
