"We had the most amazing time at the Vera Sunset Homestay. Phonephet and his family are very friendly and the island is perfect for a few days off the beaten path. You can just relax in your hammock all day or explore the rural island and play football with the village kids. The food was very good and fresh. Our cabana was beautifully decorated, there's a small kitchen with all necessary amnities, a bathroom with hot water, comfy bes and a terrace to relax on while waiting for a rain shower to pass ;) If you're a type of traveler who prefers tranquility, I urge you to stay on Carenero, while visiting Bocas del Toro. It's a short (1min, 1$) drive with a water taxi from Bocas Town and one will come to pick you up as soon as you set your foot on pier. The hotel is only 3min walk from the nearest pier."

It was perfect, by far the nicest place I've ever stayed in during my travels. Has a kind of a honeymoon vibe to it. I wish Booking offered a higher grade for places which exceed all others. 11/10 :)

"This property and the owners, are now our favorite in Martinique. We were welcomed after a long day of travel. The owners kindly left us fruit, coffee, juice and a baguette for breakfast with the local tasty guave jam. So thoughtful. The house provided good size rooms, very comfortable Caribbean chairs, nice large bed, and wonderful outdoor seating with lush greenery, meticulously cared for, outside. To sit and have coffee and watch hummingbirds and others, while we looked at many kinds of tropical flowers was a great experience daily. Everything we wanted and needed in the house was at our fingertips. So much Martinique charm! We highly recommend to anyone visiting Martinique. And a short drive to the beaches, Jardin Balata, and top things to see on the island."

"We are visiting from Australia and this was a perfect place to stay for over a week. Lovely host who was so kind. The guesthouse is only a 5 min walk to a lovely restaurant and another 5 mins to centre of town yet it’s so peaceful. Room was very clean and comfortable with great aircon. A lounge area is available with tea/coffee, fridge and microwave. Lovely outdoor seating area. I highly recommend this beautiful guesthouse."
