There were regular power cuts in the city during our stay (not the hotels fault). The roads outside can be quite noisy at times

"Large, clean and modern room with a hairdryer and enough plugs. Parking available. Nice breakfast with home-made yogurt and jams. Internet was satisfactory. The dinner at a (somewhat high) price of 30 Euro per person was good. Good service overall. The owner, Mr. Desprairies, is very professional."

Though we did like the breakfast, we saw that eggs are offered for an extra charge. In most hotels this is standard, so I would recommend to just include them in breakfast. Also, the coffee was so so.

"Beautiful setting on the outskirts of the city, high on a hill. A place where there is tent camping, spaces for camper vans, and there are rooms available. We had a beautiful room with private bathroom, and shared access to a sitting room, kitchen facilities and terrace. It is self-catering, but the hosts will order bread to be delivered in the morning for you, or they’ll order a pizza delivery in the evening. There is an outdoor cafe/bar. The place is bustling, interesting and entertaining. Lamego is a beautiful city with many interesting buildings."

The hotel is next to the freeway, so avoid rooms close to front due to constant traffic noise.

As it was late in the season, we were the only guests. Sandra was very helpful and set our breakfast out for us before she had to go out to work. The breakfast was rather unappetising with cheap sliced bread & ham, plentiful, but unappealing.

House keeping could be better. In 6 days stay we got only one cleaning, so we lived with full bins of trash, ashtrays etc all the time. The bbq zone was pretty much occupied with the events, wich ruined our plans to grill the time we wanted.

"I'm traveling since last fifteen years and stayed in many countries, places and met nice people around. This host is unique and she is super helpful when I asked for help like my son went sick amdnshe called the doctor for appointment and also she sent me a delivery of what I missed when I checked out the apartment. Coming to the facilities, it is a great place to stay with family and near the nature. We are fortunate that the walk was nice nearby and kitchen has everything you want to make. Overall, nearby highway and I strongly recommend."

I didn't receive the room what I booked. During my stay(4 days), nobody came in to clean or to take the garbage. Didn't worth the price.
