Hotel Halbert is situated in one the most beautiful streets in Groningen, in the middle of the historical centre. The hotel rooms feature extra long beds and WiFi is available throughout the property. Breakfast is served in the garden room, or in the city garden in the summer. There is a breakfast buffet includes fresh breads, spreads and fresh juices. Gluten free products are served as well. Guests can enjoy dinner at Blumé. Here seasonal products and a varied menu are used. "This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at in the Netherlands, and I have tried several. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and the beds are quite comfortable. Each room is equipped with a great coffee machine, and the bathroom is equally clean and well stocked with all the essentials. However, it is the service the one that truly stands out. The staff were outstanding, assisting us with every request in a positive and proactive manner. They even kindly stored our luggage for several hours after check-out, which made our stay even more convenient. I really recommend it."
"The only possible downside, if one has to be mentioned, is that the lamps do not provide enough light. They are perfectly fine for a romantic getaway, but less suitable if you plan to study, work, or read in the room."
