"Το ξενοδοχείο ειναι σε εκπληκτική τοποθεσία δίπλα στο ποτάμι και παροτι σου δένει την αίσθηση που περιμένεια απο ενα τέτοιο ξενοδοχείο για σαφάρι, υπήρχαν λεπτομέρειες που του στερούν το άριστα... Τα δωμάτια παρα ταυτα ειναι πανέμοφα κατα την αποψη μου..."

Βγήκαμε στη βεράντα του εστιατορίου και δυστυχώς ανακαλύψαμε ότι σπάνια την καθαρίζει κάποιος....

The resort is not in walking distance to San Ignacio. You need a car (and worse a parking spot) to go there. This makes you dependent on the hotel‘s facilities and restaurant. Be aware that the breakfast included only means a small selection of breakfast choices. Whenever you want something extra eg eggs you pay extra! You pay a 10% „service charge“ on everything, even on the organization of tours, which is quite a ripoff. I did some activities organized by the hotel. These tours (especially the mayan cooking class) are real good, however as a single I had to pay for two people (minus a small discount). Moreover, tax & „service charge“ were added to the net prices mentioned in the flyer. Taken together this makes these tours unacceptably expensive.

"Really clean, big rooms, nice that you don’t need to wake up early to reserve the sunbeds. Breakfast included. Really nice beach. Cold towel and virgin shot service at the pool every day. They really made us to feel special, this was our anniversary trip."

A little bit noise from the outside in the early mornings and you always heard the ice machine used in the hallway. There was also renovation in one of the resraurants, which we did not know beforehand and there were thrilling at day time, which we heard in our room. Also a lot of other small maintain, like bug spraying in our room and men repairing aircon in front of our room in most of the days. We couldn’t eat breakfast in Tara wing because of the renovation, because they closed early every morning. Nobody told us that. A lot of bird poop everywhere and the birds in the breakfast area/tables in the beach restaurant.

Restaurant waiters are useless, slow, just talking to each other. . Even if you are a guest at hotel they want you to pay for the huts. Hotel guests should get at least a free hour daily. There is no real beach seating for hotel guests to relax.

"This was our fourth Christmas holidays at Vila Bicuda. Everything was excellent, as always, except that we were accommodated in a house that had recently been renovated, and there was a strong smell of paint in the bedroom."

Our room was cold, Maintenance came to sort it out but he didn't really know much about the thermostat, said he sorted it and it won't take long to heat uo, but never did, wasn't ideal with a little baby, said baby was asleep by time we realised it wasn't heating up. A small blemish on what was otherwise a really nice stay.

It was not easy to get service on the tables near the beach. The sun beds did not have cushions so were uncomfortable to lay on.

In general, I really did like the property. It is perhaps not as fresh as it could be however that is part of its attraction.

La cama se movía se movía mucho y se corría del lugar muy incómodo de verdad El tv nunca funcionó Llamamos a recepción y nunca contestaron Mucha gente en recepción ala hora de la entrada

Ευγενικό το προσωπικό στην κεντρική ρεσεψιόν και το εστιατόριο."

Μας είχαν ψευδώς ενημερώσει γραπτά ότι τα μασάζ και το beauty περιλαμβάνονταν στην τιμή. Το προσωπικό είδε το μήνυμα αλλά είπε ότι δεν ισχύει και πρέπει να πληρώσουμε έξτρα. Επίσης μας είπε ότι έχουμε δίκιο, ότι όντως ήταν παραπλανητικό το μήνυμά τους, αλλά το μόνο που μπορούσαν να κάνουν ήταν να μας δώσουν δωρεάν μασάζ ΜΟΝΟ ΓΙΑ ΤΟΝ 1 ΑΠΟ ΤΟΥΣ 2. Τελικά ούτε rv είχαν διαθέσιμα για να μας εξυπηρετήσουν και φύγαμε χωρίς να έχουμε καμιά από αυτές τις παροχές που θέλαμε. Αν το ξέραμε, δε θα επιλέγαμε αυτό το ξενοδοχείο, θα πηγαίναμε να μείνουμε στο κέντρο και να μην κάνουμε 1 ώρα καθημερινά για να φτάσουμε στα αξιοθέατα. Ο κύριος στην κεντρική ρεσεψιόν που άκουσε τα παράπονά μας ήταν ευγενικός, οι γυναίκες στο spa reception ήταν τόσο ξινές!

"Das Zimmer war überraschend groß und modern eingerichtet – man merkt sofort, dass alles neu ist. Besonders schön: die tolle Ausstattung mit Espresso-Maschine und kostenlosem Kaffee. Auch das Bad war sehr geräumig und hochwertig gestaltet. Über die Terrasse mit eigenem Strandkorb hatte man einen wunderbaren Blick Richtung Bodden – perfekt, um abends den Tag ausklingen zu lassen"

Das Zimmer ließ sich trotz der Verdunkelungsmöglichkeiten nur bedingt abdunkeln, da durch die Milchglastür früh Tageslicht hereinkam. Bei der Ankunft war es zudem recht staubig, was etwas den ersten Eindruck trübte. Außerdem war der Kaffeeweißer aufgrund der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit auf der Insel hart geworden.

The pools are modest compared to other spa resorts, but a new complex is currently under construction.

"The view from our room, any room in fact, looked out over the crashing waves that rolled in from the Indian Ocean. Biggest room weve had in Bali.The staff were ready to look after our every whim. They brought meals in from outside restaurants. Instead of 2 tiny water bottles per day they provided a 20 litre water dispenser. The pool overlooked the black pebbly beach. The surrounding area was not overwhelmed by tourists and the locals were 1980's friendly."

We didn't like leaving.

"Nice and special spacious rooms. A real holiday resort with everything you need or don’t need"

Too big. Very noisy at breakfast. Only Asian breakfast options. Expensive restaurants. Don’t go to Thai restaurant in hotel. Really bad taste and nothing to do with Thai style

"Magic Reef is a beautiful resort, very relaxing. The bungalows are well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. It was also great to have our own comfortable lounge chairs on the deck to take in the views out over the reef, watching the waves crashing and the sun setting which was all simply breathtaking. There are a few really good restaurants within walking distance down the beach, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing time. We hired a car for a couple of days to explore around the island, enjoy some beach swimming, snorkeling and to eat at some different restaurants. The pool was great, lovely temperature and depth. Our hosts and all the staff were friendly, helpful and we enjoyed talking with them. Thanks for the beautiful platter in the fridge, the beers, juice etc which was so appreciated. We would highly recommend Magic Reef if you like a small boutique resort."

Le prix reste un peu cher pour le Myanmar dans le contexte politique actuel même si il se comprend. Le confort du lit, matelas, était mauvais. Les coupures d'électricité durant tout un après-midi sont aussi à prendre en compte. Enfin les matelas et les serviettes autour de la piscine semblent une option.
